National Academy Museum and School of Fine Arts

National Academy Museum and School was founded in 1825, as the National Academy of Design, by a group of accomplished artist.  The Museum includes work of Samuel F. B. Morse, Asher B. Durand, and Thomas Cole, as well as architects, scuptures and engravers. The National Academy Museum Galleries are closed for renovations from July 2010 to September 2011.
