For the first time ever, on July 29th, 2011 after the closing bell on Wall Street - the United States lost its perfect credit rating as Standard & Poor’s reduced its U.S. long-term debt assessment from AAA to AA+ .  The negative outlook sent shock waves through the global financial markets early this week.
