The Great Lawn has presented over the years some of the most popular concert events in the history of New York. The lawn is 55 acres of green pastors where people play softball, soccer, frisbee, as well as picnicking, and sunbathing. On September 15th, Andrea Bocelli performed in Central Park at the Great Lawn for 60,000 people. If you missed the concert it will air December 2nd at 9 PM as part of the PBS Arts Fall Festival. Last night people laid out their blankets, brought some cheese & crackers and enjoyed a remarkable evening listening to Andrea Bocelli and the New York Philharmonic, including duets from Andrea Bocelli and Tony Bennet “New York New York” (lyrics from Frank Sinatra), as well as Andrea Bocelli & Celine Dion performing the Prayer.
