Gapstow Bridge

The Gapstow Bridge is one of the most beautiful and romantic spots in all of Central Park.  Many movies scenes have been filmed here.  Known for its rustic stone structure, the bridge offers some of the best views in the park.  The Gapstow overlooks the Plaza Hotel, one of New York City’s most famous spots.  When you are standing on the bridge you get the feeling that you are on a movie set, it’s like a story book that you once read about and now you are actually seeing it in person.  Also within your view is the incredible Pond and all the huge surrounding rocks that people crowd upon to get pictures of all these different angles and shots.  If that was not enough, you can also see the famous Wollman Rink to the North, what a treat this is for New Yorkers to have a skating rink in this middle of all this magic.  To top it all off, you are surrounded with some of the best city skyscrapers views in NYC, even better is that the views are for free.  The bridge was originally built in 1874 and was replaced in 1896 with its present structure.
