Washington Square Christmas Tree

The Washington Square Association Tree Lighting Ceremony is December 7th at 6pm.  The Washington Square Christmas Tree stands 45 feet high and will be situated under the Arch, what a sight to see. Lights will be on from 4pm – 1am right through the holiday season.  Wednesday December 7th, the Rob Susman Brass Quartet with children and adults will be singing holiday songs.  This has been a tradition over at Washington Square Park for many decades now.   The first time a tree was placed under the Arch dated all the way back to 1924.  On Saturday, December 24th at 5pm, Christmas Eve come by for the traditional Carols at the Park.  Washington Square Park is surrounded by New York University and is south of Union Square and North of Soho perfectly located in the City.  People from all over the city frequently come to visit this park throughout the year.
