The Chrysler Building which stands at the intersection of 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue is the third tallest building in New York City. It is 320 meters high (1,050 ft), truly spectacular to look at. It is one of New York City’s Top attractions and finest buildings for sure. They broke ground on September 19th, 1928 and eventually finished construction on May 20th, 1930. For almost a year it was the world’s tallest building until the Empire State Building was built in 1931. Even still though, it brings so much life to the New York Skyline, the Chrysler Building is a real New York City treasure. The building has no official tours but you can visit the lobby during normal business hours and witness the beautiful art deco building for yourself.
