Harvest Festival in Brooklyn Bridge Park

The Harvest Festival in Brooklyn Bridge Park will be held on Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 from 10:30am – 1pm, at Pier 6. The Harvest Festival will feature a Halloween parade, musical guests, face painting, storytelling, arts and crafts activities, mask making and pumpkin decorating. Jane’s Carousel

Jane’s Carousel opened to the public on September 16th in Brooklyn Bridge Park at the Empire Fulton Ferry. The Carousel is named after Jane Walentas, wife of DUMBO developer David Walentas, who bought the old carousel for $385,000 in 1984 from an auction. The Carousel was restored, donated to the city and is now housed in a spectacular Pavilion designed by Pritzker Prize winning French architect Jean Nouvel.
