Belvedere Castle

The Belvedere Castle is an extraordinary part of Central Park .  It was originally handed over in 1867 from the Croton Aqueduct Board to the park to look after it.  There have been several changes made through the years.  In the early 1900’s the Weather Bureau had its operations there and continued all the way until 1960’s.  The tower at the castle is the highest point in Central park .  The amazing thing about the Castle is the views.  Staring out north from the castle... Read More
